Intersting answers and I'm guessing you are in the southern hemisphere.

1. What is your favorite 'food' holiday?
Christmas pudding with hot custard.

2. Do you prefer ham or turkey (or tofu turkey)?
Turkey.

3. Do you anticipate or dread seeing your relatives for the holidays?
I definitely eagerly anticipate seeing my family. I don't really dread seeing my in-laws. For the most part they are cool. My mother-in-law tends to grate on everyone's last nerve and that puts some tension in gatherings on that side, so I dread that.

4. When do you start listening to Christmas carols (for real, you can tell us)?
Honestly? Not unless someone/somewhere else has it on. I do not put on Christmas music ever because I get so overexposed to it elsewhere. (grocery stores, while shopping, running errands, etc)

5. How are you feeling right now with regards to the upcoming holiday season?
I am, in general, looking forward to it. We are spending Christmas with the in-laws this year so no doubt it will be a very long day. My husband's parents are divorced so we have two families to see.

Mmm, Christmas pudding is the best. This is such a season for foodies.

Same with me on the Christmas music. I'm glad I listen to a classical radio station. They don't play any until just before the 25th.

it's been a hot minute since i've posted one of these, so here go:

1. What is your favorite 'food' holiday?
before i became a complete latin-hoe, i would say cinco de mayo. but that's not a real holiday and i can have mexican food any time i want. god bless living in los angeles. so i guess i'll say easter or mother's day, because there's usually brunch involved. and mimosas.

2. Do you prefer ham or turkey (or tofu turkey)?
do i have to decide? i love a good honey baked ham. but if the turkey is cooked and seasoned right, pass the turkey.

3. Do you anticipate or dread seeing your relatives for the holidays?
both. i'd rather see my friends during the holidays. :/

4. When do you start listening to Christmas carols (for real, you can tell us)?
never was really a fan of christmas music until kylie ann minogue blessed us with a christmas album. that's currently in my stereo and i've been playing it since first week of november. bless.

5. How are you feeling right now with regards to the upcoming holiday season?
it needs to be over so i can start planning on traveling/moving.

It certainly is a real holiday where I live (the central valley)

I think thanksgiving is the sort of holiday where you can have both and still ask for seconds on the mashed potatoes.

Why do you not travel during the holiday season? Just too crowded or other obligations?

i work retail and my friends are all too busy with their own families. my brithday is in the spring, so i like to travel and be away from home as much as possible.
