1) What family traditions did your family have, while you were growing up?

Typical holiday stuff. Additionally, when I was young, we would go to Long Island to visit family on school breaks and over the summer. We would go to Jones Beach, different parks, etc. It really was a treat because that would be our only vacations for the year. It always seemed like a vacation as well. On or around my birthday, my grandfather would take me to any restaurant I would want for dinner. I was always great trying new food, and my immediate family would rarely go out to eat.

2) What new traditions have you established since becoming an adult?

Do not have many traditions currently. I guess that may change if and when I have kid(s).

3) What tradition is most important to you in your current life?

Things surrounding family are probably most important.

4) What traditions do you have for the current season (spring or fall, depending on where you live)?

It is spring. I tune up the bikes. Rake the yard. Hopefully, this year we can start a garden

5) What traditions would you like to establish in the future?

Garden in spring
Visit family on school holidays
Holidays with family
Birthdays - take kid/niece/nephew out to dinner anywhere they want; at age 10/15/20, etc. take them on a trip/vacation/concert
Ski/snowboard trip in winter
Camping in summer
Volunteer for thanksgiving

I like the questions, but unfortunately I don't have much in the way of answers.

Growing up, we had birthdays and Christmas. As an adult, I don't do anything special, and neither does my brother. Neither of us have families, and although I like having traditions, I think it doesn't really work when you're on your own.
