1. Bully, teacher's pet, geek, shy kid in the corner, or something else?
-I was, and still am a geek. I was in band for eight years, 5th grade-12th, so I think that speaks for itself. I would call myself shy as well.

2. What did you usually eat for lunch time at school?
-My friends and I had a running joke, which was "a Katy lunch", which was usually a ChocoTaco and a coke for lunch. Most often I ate whatever was served in the cafeteria, but my friends Mom worked in the cafeteria, so we usually got the good food first. On Friday's lunch would rotate between Subway and Pizza Hut.

3. What did you normally wear to school? Thinking back to what you wore, did you like it?
- Freshman/Sophomore year of HS, we had a dress code, but were allowed to wear what we wanted. Junior year, we still had a dress code for our bottom half, but we had to wear collared shirts. Senior year, again with the dress code on the bottom, but we had to wear school polo shirts. You had your choice of green, black, white, or grey, and they all had the school name and the mascot, a cougar, on them. The only other thing I believe I could be seen wearing was a band shirt, which usually happened on Friday's when there was a football game. Looking back on it, compared to other private schools, I think I was lucky just because we only had uniform shirts, not a full on uniform. So, in the end, no, I really didn't mind it.

4. What sports/clubs/activities did you participate in?
-Band, band, and more band. I also was in our school musical, 'Oklahoma', my Freshman year. I helped the Winter Guard one year as well.

5. Any worthwhile friends you still keep up with after graduation?
-I honestly have not seen any of my friends since graduating. There are a few of them I would like to know what they are up to though. After the graduation ceremony, my school had one of those all night parties, so kids would come to the amusement park, instead of going out and doing stupid things. After the party was over at 6am, and we were all leaving, none of my friends said goodbye to me. It's kind of one of the last lasting impressions I ever got from my high school career.

Bully, teacher's pet, geek, shy kid in the corner, or something else?
Shy kid in the corner. I wore glasses since my first year at school and was shortest person in class. I also was (and is) a loner and not good at making friends. So I was on my own, ignored even by bullies, not that we truly had them.

What did/do you usually eat during lunch time at school?
We were lucky to have a good school buffet. But I don't remember what was there... Just that there was a real food most of the time and almost always there were some fruits.

What did/do you normally wear to school? Thinking back to what you wore(if you've already graduated), do you like it?
During my first years school uniform was mandatory. Here is a picture of what it looked like, this one is dress uniform, the one for normal days had black apron made from sturdy cloth.
Then after 1992 (my 5th year) we could wear whatever we wanted, so I switched to white blouse / black skirt when weather allowed and jeans when it was too cold. In upper years I just wore general street clothes.

Any sports/activities/clubs you participate(d) in?
English language group in my 3rd year and then Dancing club for 3-4 years. After that I usually went to out-of-school groups.

Any worthwhile friends you (would) still keep up with after graduation?
The only friend I didn't loose is my almost-sister who I knew way before school. There are a couple of friends I wish I could get back in touch with, but I am bad at staying in contact.

1. Bully, teacher's pet, geek, shy kid in the corner, or something else? I was seen as the really quiet girl who got on with her work, rarely participated in class and generally did very well. Actually, I spent a lot of time passing notes with my friends, writing letters when I should have been working and generally not listening. Still bluffed my way through 7 years with people thinking I was a good little swot.

2. What did/do you usually eat during lunch time at school? In the first few years I'd have sandwiches. Then, when we were allowed off school grounds in the third/fourth (can't remember which) year, I'd go to the chip shop with my friends, or into town for a baked potato. By GCSE years I'd developed huge self-consciousness about my body and wouldn't eat anything all day while I was in school, lest people see me and call me fat.

3. What did/do you normally wear to school? Thinking back to what you wore(if you've already graduated), do you like it? We had a uniform. My first year it was navy trousers, a white shirt and the school tie. I liked that. Then we switched to polo shirts with the school crest on and I hated them. They're so bloody scruffy! I was glad to get to sixth form where I could just wear jeans and whatever top I liked. And my Doc Martens...

4. Any sports/activities/clubs you participate(d) in? Nope. I wasn't sporty and I wasn't musical. That didn't really leave anything for me to participate in. I was also too shy and too reluctant to give up my free time to do anything like that.

5. Any worthwhile friends you (would) still keep up with after graduation? I've kept in touch with two or three friends since we left school. Some I kept in touch with for years, but that dropped off. Now it's just those few left.

1) Bully, teacher's pet, geek, shy kid in the corner, or something else?
I guess a mix of geek, know-it-all, and teacher's pet depending on the teacher. For me, school was mostly about school and not social life. I was an overachiever and sort of off in my own little world most of the time, oblivious to most other people at my school.

2) What did/do you usually eat during lunch time at school?
In high school I rotated between salad bar, baked potato bar, and fried chicken. I also had an addiction for these dark mint chocolate cookies, so much that if they were running low the lunch lady would hide them in order to save them especially for me (:

3) What did/do you normally wear to school? Thinking back to what you wore(if you've already graduated), do you like it?
A t-shirt and something that wasn't jeans. I never had comfortable jeans in high school, so instead I wore cargo pants (including a lovely salmon-colored pair I tried to "match" with a hot pink tshirt at one point) and a wide selection of skirts, usually pleated or plaid or both. I had weird preferences about what clothes I liked and felt comfortable wearing. It wasn't exactly personal style, but it was . . . unique, lol.

4) Any sports/activities/clubs you participate(d) in?
Orchestra all four years, swimming for two years, Academic Superbowl for four years, Speech and Debate for one year, National Honor Society for one year, and musicals and plays whenever I was given a role,

5) Any worthwhile friends you (would) still keep up with after graduation?
I interact with a few of them on Facebook and I'm planning to have a meal with one in a few weeks when I drive through her town. But really, the friends I knew in high school I talk to the most didn't actually attend my high school; we knew each other from middle school or outside activities and hung out outside of school throughout high school.
