Good questions!

My answers:

1. Do you enjoy receiving books as holiday or birthday gifts? Yes! I especially like reference books as they are always more expensive than I think they are going to be, and it's lovely to have one as a gift. I had a book all about the history of Tiffany glass for my birthday in November which was lovely.

2. What book are you reading (or, what is the last book you read)? Currently I'm reading the second in the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness having read 'A Discovery of Witches' I'm now on 'Shadow of Night'.

3. Are you enjoying (or, did you enjoy) that book? Why or why not? I'm enjoying them as they are an easy read and the story is interesting enough to want me to keep reading. Having watched the TV show I realise how much more to the story there actually is in the books which makes it much less of a drippy love story which is what it's turned into onscreen. Although having now got faces for the characters (which are quite appropriate) it's more fun to imagine the story as I read.

4. About how many books do you read in an average year? I used to read more when I commuted, but now I expect it's over 50, probably nearer to 60 a year.

5. What are some of the books on your to-read pile (or list)? I have the final in the trilogy to read which is 'Book of Life'. After that I'm not sure.
