1. Are you named after anyone? If so, explain. Nope.

2. Do you have your children's names picked out already? If so, is there any significance? I did have names picked out, but The Universe says no kids for me.

3. If you were born a member of the opposite sex what would your name have been? I have absolutely NO idea. Since my brothers names are John, Paul, Fred, and Michael... I can only imagine...

4. If you could re-name yourself what name would you pick and why? Kristine. Its my middle name and I love it ever so much more than my first.

5. Are there any mispronunciations/typos that people do w/ your name constantly? Yes people constantly add an extra L to my first and my last names.

1. Are you named after anyone? If so, explain. Nope, my Mom just likes my name & picked it out when she was in 10th grade.
2. Do you have your children's names picked out already? If so, is there any significance? No, I don't want children.
3. If you were born a member of the opposite sex what would your name have been? Actually, my parents didn't have a boys name picked out for me...
4. If you could re-name yourself what name would you pick and why?Probably something with a better nickname. Kat is so short that people don't even bother, they either call me Kathryn or by my last name.
5. Are there any mispronunciations/typos that people do w/ your name constantly?Yeah I always get Katherine. And when I say it's spelled with a "y" they write Katheryn or something along those lines. Also people like teachers just decide to give me nicknames like Kathy (uhhh) and Katie when I don't like to be called either.

1. Are you named after anyone? If so, explain.

The Jessica character in a 1970s TV show called Soap inspired my parents to pick this name. It wasn't the character they liked; it was the versatility of the name they liked. That was mere minutes before Jessica became one of the most popular names of my generation. :P

2. Do you have your children's names picked out already? If so, is there any significance?

When I was a kid, I wanted to name my kids Astrid and Skyler. Now I would prefer more traditional names, but I don't really have any specific picked out that I KNOW I'll use.

3. If you were born a member of the opposite sex what would your name have been?

According to my dad (and take this with a grain of salt), if I had been a boy, I would have been named Samuel Daniel Nathaniel Emmanuel.

4. If you could re-name yourself what name would you pick and why?

I wouldn't re-name myself.

5. Are there any mispronunciations/typos that people do w/ your name constantly?

I never had any problems until I got married. People want to spell Emerson with two Ms, and after I moved, people inexplicably started spelling Jessica with only one S! Is this the product of youneeke baby names? Those reach into our lives in ways we might not imagine.

1. Are you named after anyone? If so, explain.
my middle name was given after my paternal grandfather, whom i never knew.

2. Do you have your children's names picked out already? If so, is there any significance?
me? have children? you're more likely to find jimmy hoffa's grave first.

3. If you were born a member of the opposite sex what would your name have been?
ummm... probably "jamie."

4. If you could re-name yourself what name would you pick and why?
it wouldn't matter, i'd still be the same person. (although i'd run with "billson" as a last name, after my dad, bill)

5. Are there any mispronunciations/typos that people do w/ your name constantly?
people misspell my first name with a "y" ("bryan") or mispronounce my surname with a "u" hidden in there.

1. Are you named after anyone? If so, explain.
I asked my parents this once, and I believe they told me that they named me after my dad's first english teacher here in the US.

2. Do you have your children's names picked out already? If so, is there any significance?
I have a few picked out. They don't have any real significance, I just like how they sound.

3. If you were born a member of the opposite sex what would your name have been?
LOL, probably something more chinese and harder to pronounce and spell.

4. If you could re-name yourself what name would you pick and why?
Nope, I'm content with my name. :)

5. Are there any mispronunciations/typos that people do w/ your name constantly?
Pronouncing it is easy, but I've seen people spell my name wrong; they would spell it 'Nanci' or 'Nancie.'

1. Are you named after anyone? If so, explain. No, my mom liked the name Lauryn and my Dad liked the name Brook. But neither are spelled with an e.
2. Do you have your children's names picked out already? If so, is there any significance? If I have (hopefully) 2 girls they're names are going to be Fairy Isabella and Lilyann Patrica. Fairy is my Fiancee' grandmother's name as well as his aunt's name and Patrica is my grandmother's name. Ann (from Lilyann) is my grandmother's and my 2 aunt's middle name. They are going to go by Bella and Lily
3. If you were born a member of the opposite sex what would your name have been? Justice Sloan
4. If you could re-name yourself what name would you pick and why? eh, I used to want to change my name but I'm pretty content with it now.
5. Are there any mispronunciations/typos that people do w/ your name constantly? They spell Lauryn and Brook both with an e and then they ask me why it's not like that in the first place.
