1. Would you return to high school life for a week? Why or why not? (If you're currently in high school, would you redo your experiences so far?) Lol, I already *return* to high school in that I'm student-teaching at one now. As far as being a student again . . . No. It was more busy work, more hours of my day (being at school PLUS activities PLUS homework), and just a lot of general immaturity from peers. (I didn't date in high school because all the boys just seemed inordinately stupid). I'm still not into what composed the high school social scene, and I expect I never will be. I could handle a week, but I don't feel any explicit need to go back.

2. Who were/are you in high school? I was a less mature, less secure, and more idealistic version of myself. I haven't really changed all that much. I have more life experience and more social skills and I think I look better (at the very least, I've lost weight and figured out how to take care of curly hair), but my values are pretty much the same. I'm still intellectual and kind of geeky/nerdy, I still like to write and perform, and I still mostly keep to my own intimate group of friends. I'm just more comfortable in myself now.

3. What was/is your favorite high school hangout? What did/do you do there? I didn't really "hang out." I went to school, did activities like swim team, orchestra, musicals and plays, academic superbowl, and the debate team, and went home. I didn't really have a social life. I didn't even hang out at my good friends' houses all that often, maybe once every week or two.

4. What were/are your favorite three songs in high school? I loved Evanescence (but I still love them, lol); their CD Fallen came out my sophomore year and I have a lot of memories of singing along with it (particularly "Bring Me To Life" and "My Immortal" on the radio, since my car didn't have a CD player). I remember my favorite song in 9th grade was "Don't Let Me Get Me" by Pink. Avril Lavigne's "I'm With You" also sticks out as being my like go-to lonely song when I was standing waiting in the cold parking lot for my mom to come pick me up from swim practice-- or, well, any other time I needed to indulge in high school lonely angst.

5. What was the craziest thing you did in high school? I loved making stupid films. Not exactly crazy, but it was a lot of fun. They're still fun to go back and watch.

1. Would you return to high school life for a week? Why or why not? (If you're currently in high school, would you redo your experiences so far?)
Definitely not. I had some great times in high school and some not so great times, but they're better off as memories. Besides, I'm one of those people who has high school nightmares (the kind where you're in school and forgot your books/classes/homework/pants) about once a month.

2. Who were/are you in high school?
I was the person in high school who was smart and got along with almost everyone. It was also known that I didn't take sh*t from the popular boys like a lot of people did. I think people actually respected me for standing up to them.

3. What was/is your favorite high school hangout? What did/do you do there?
The soda fountain. I worked there my senior year. It was old fashioned with the stools and milkshake glasses and everything. It was a place we could hang out and loiter and not get kicked out.

4. What were/are your favorite three songs in high school?
Oh wow. "Faded" by Soul Decision, "Hanging by a Moment" by Lifehouse, and "Harder to Breathe" by Maroon 5

5. What was the craziest thing you did in high school?
I didn't do a ton of crazy stuff. We used to have campfires on the beach at night. One year we got caught by the police toilet papering, but they just told us not to damage anything. I also took a 14 hour road trip with one of my best friends up to Canada to visit a friend and a boyfriend I had online.

1. Would you return to high school life for a week? Why or why not? Nope. I sure wouldn't. It wasn't horrible or anything, but I just have no desire to go back either. I'm content with being in my 20s.

2. Who were/are you in high school? Just...me. I never put a label on myself. I wasn't popular, but I had my close friends.

3. What was/is your favorite high school hangout? What did/do you do there? I don't know if I had a hangout. I went to my best friend's house a lot, and I guess we saw people we knew at the mall every once in a while.

4. What were/are your favorite three songs in high school? Umm...I don't even know. That Santana song "Smooth" was out then. I kinda like that song.

5. What was the craziest thing you did in high school? I don't know if I really ever did anything "crazy". I went to a Halloween party I THINK my senior year, and we had this scavenger hunt that was crazy.

1. Would you return to high school life for a week? Why or why not? (If you're currently in high school, would you redo your experiences so far?)
No there is no way. I love being out. I love college. I've found myself. I know who I am. There is no way I would go back to that place.
2. Who were/are you in high school?
I was a mix. I went to a small highschool so the cliques were pretty much separated into three categories. The popular kids who stayed towards the front entranc e(your jocks and pretty girls), the unpopular kids who hung out at the end of the hall(your goth, geeks, and band memebers), and the inbetweens who were able to go anywhere. I was an inbetween who was friends wtih both but would usually stay at the end of the hall with the not so cool kids. They understood me better.
3. What was/is your favorite high school hangout? What did/do you do there?
Haha the end of the hall definitely. We would all congregate every morning and just sit down there eating breakfast and talking about life. It was as simple as that.
4. What were/are your favorite three songs in high school?
I didn't have three favorite songs then and I don't now. I like too many different kinds of music to have favorite songs.
5. What was the craziest thing you did in high school?
Pretty much anytime Jeri and I spent at Unity College was a crazy time. That was where we were most of senior year. Hanging out with Loretta, Emma, and Whiteman. I miss that. Probably more than anything.

1. Would you return to high school life for a week? Why or why not? (If you're currently in high school, would you redo your experiences so far?)
Possibly, if only for the opportunity to feel so young and carefree and have some silly times.

2. Who were/are you in high school?
Artsy, shy, nerdy, smart, super emo.

3. What was/is your favorite high school hangout? What did/do you do there?
We hung out at a coffeehouse until it closed, and then a friend's mom opened her house for a weekly "coffeehouse night." Wild and crazy times.

4. What were/are your favorite three songs in high school?
Man, it's hard to remember:
Esthero - 'Country Livin' (The World I Know)'
Ani DiFranco - 'Swan Dive'
U2 - 'Mysterious Ways'

5. What was the craziest thing you did in high school?
I wore glittery raver pants (big 96" bell bottoms), carried a plastic Halloween lantern bucket as a lunch box, and covered my messenger bag in fake cheetah fur during art class. What wasn't crazy about me in high school?

1. Would you return to high school life for a week? Why or why not? (If you're currently in high school, would you redo your experiences so far?)</b>

Yes and no. Yes, because I had a couple of good friends in high school and we had a lot of fun together. Yes, because school was for me an escape from home. No, because in general I didn't fit in with the rest of the kids in my class (my two best friends weren't in my class). No, because I had no self-esteem and didn't know myself or feel happy with myself the way I do now.

2. Who were/are you in high school?

In general I was the quiet girl who didn't fit in, although academically I was a high achiever.

3. What was/is your favourite high school hangout? What did/do you do there?

One place my friends and I liked to spend time was sitting on a low ledge in the sun (in cooler weather) during lunch and recess breaks. We didn't spend time together out of school because I lived on a farm and had to catch the bus home immediately after school and didn't get to town on weekends.

4. What were/are your favourite three songs in high school?

I had more than three favourite songs. I loved everything by the Beatles, for a start.

5. What was the craziest thing you did in high school?

I wasn't very crazy in high school. The worst thing my friends and I did was leave school one afternoon and walk out towards Pink Lake, coming back in time for me to catch my bus home.

NB. High School in Australia (in general) covers all of the post-primary years, ie grades 8 to 12. When I was in school, in my town there was only a Junior High School, grades 8 to 10, and I had to go to a bigger town 300 miles away to do the final two years of high school. My answers above refer to my time in Junior High; I was quite unhappy during the final two years as my previous two best friends weren't there, I didn't really have any close friends, and I did very badly academically.

3. What was/is your favorite high school hangout? What did/do you do there?
4. What were/are your favorite three songs in high school?
5. What was the craziest thing you did in high school?

#1 - Definitely. Just for the fun my friends and me had when we were in high school. The lessons won't really be of my interest, though (would only be 1 week anyway). Seeing all the teachers again, knowing I've made something out of my life when all they thought was that I'd be a huge fail . . . that would be like winning the grand prix. Seriously, lunch breaks at the cafetaria? Gym class?? Shit, now I'd LOVE to go back for 1 week.

#2 - Hahahahaha. I was the weird, depressed loner kid that had next to no frenz. So fucking cliché, tbh. There were about 3 people I was very close to (all 3 to this day, remain my closest friends) and that kinda gave me some strength to pull through all the BULLSHIT my teachers fed me. That was also the time in which my band was formed, writing music was everything I had at that time. I don't know how many jokes like 'she's prob gonna pull a shotgun out from under her black leather coat anytime soon' I've heard. It was miserable and I don't really wanna remember any of it.

#3 - The practice room of my band, located in the basement of my school. We turned the empty cellar into your little cave. Plastered with posters of our idols, flags, photos, shit we loved... there was a fridge, a water boiler, a matress to sleep on, a coffee machine, a closet filled with shit like toilet paper, school books, drum sticks, guitar picks, CDs.. and we had this awesomely funny "On Air"-ish sign which read SEX in huge letters; we turned on the light while we practised. Damn, those were the days. Actually, half of the time we just got drunk down there or fucked around with the drums, bass and guitars. We were all n00bz at music at that time so.. figures.

#4 - Phew, that's a tough one. I can't pick just 3 songs, I have to pick 3 albums, cause I've listened to it like 24/7 on my walkman. Ok, 1st: Nirvana's "Bleach", Seether's "Disclaimer II" and Metallica's "Black Album"

#5 - Crazy, huh? Bloodplay in literature class? That kinda creeped the hell out of my teacher, although I was just bleeding from my nails, I swear. But, ok, smearing that all over my folder and notebook, then drawing and writing with it, maybe that crossed the line. I didn't think of it as weird, though. At that time. Something else? I'm sure, but I can't remember right now. There was always something strange going on, IF I was there. Haha
