This week's questions were suggested by insomniac_tales.

I thought this would be fun/interesting, since most places (at least near me) don't even sell newspapers anymore.
1. What is your favorite section of the newspaper?
2. Sunday comics or weekday strips? Which comic is your favorite?
3. Do you read your daily horoscope? Do you believe in it?
4. Does the paper become bird cage lining, do you recycle, or does it get thrown in the trash?
5. Where do you read the paper? At home, at work, or elsewhere?

Copy and paste to your own journal, then reply to this post with a link to your answers.

If you'd like to suggest questions for a future Friday Five, then do so on LJ, or even on DW.

1. What is your favorite section of the newspaper?
In my hometown newspaper growing up, I loved the Opinion section. Full of the rants of wildly illogical and fanatical people making claims like "Satan created the other world religions to tempt us from the one true way, Christianity" and that allowing students to study evolution in school will lead to another Holocaust, I found it more hilarious than the comics! I still occasionally check their online publication and there's a good one now and then. Lots of religious debate hate.

In most papers I usually read the headline stories and any other main articles that catch my eye, the comics, and the lifestyle section if there is one.

2. Sunday comics or weekday strips? Which comic is your favorite?
I like Sunday comics because in every paper I've read, there are more to read than on weekdays. Some comics only feature on Sundays.

As for favorite strip . . . Maybe Zits? I feel like all my favorites have been retired, though some papers still publish reruns. I love Calvin and Hobbes, FoxTrot, Peanuts, and The Far Side.

3. Do you read your daily horoscope? Do you believe in it?
I often read it just for something to do, but I don't take any stock in it at all. I just laugh at the coincidence if it somehow lines up, like the time all three magazines I took on the airplane with me told me I had travel in my future.

4. Does the paper become bird cage lining, do you recycle, or does it get thrown in the trash?
I recycle or use it for things like cleaning windows, under paper when I paint, etc.

5. Where do you read the paper? At home, at work, or elsewhere?
I don't read a paper newspaper these days since the local one is not in my native language. I read my news at home on my computer. When I lived in the US, I usually read it at home as well, usually with breakfast.

1. What is your favorite section of the newspaper?
The comics, because there is no bad news in that section.
2. Sunday comics or weekday strips? Which comic is your favorite? Dailies, just because the comics that come in my Sunday paper omit so many good ones including Pears Before Swine.
3. Do you read your daily horoscope? Do you believe in it? I haven't read my horoscope in years, I don't believe in them because I used to write them for a newspaper in high school.
4. Does the paper become bird cage lining, do you recycle, or does it get thrown in the trash? Recycled
5. Where do you read the paper? At home, at work, or elsewhere? At the breakfast table in the morning.
